dArK sTUFfEr's COMmIE pArEnTs tAiSTO & tARjA===========================================================================
dArK sTuFfEr: For yer information, Sam's gonna come here soon.
dArK sTuFfEr: Mega's told me not to have any deals with him, so don't hint even indirectly that I've been with Sam, did y'all get it?
TARJA: Allright, we won't whisper about it then.
TARJA: I suppose you have a good reason why to defy Mega's orders?
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, I don't quite trust that guy anymaw.
dArK sTuFfEr: I reckon he's gotten some influence from Reijo, 'cause he's always pushin' aroond aboot every little thang nowadays.
dArK sTuFfEr: And now a few weeks ago he decided to jeopardize the whole future of our crew by just abruptly expellin' Sam for the rest of his life...
dArK sTuFfEr: And that was only 'cause he'd collected some poem pieces to some file!
TARJA: How important is this Sam for you?
dArK sTuFfEr: Err, wel, he was takin' part in them there trainings in the town by that C.O.P. crew.
dArK sTuFfEr: Now we had to replace him with Jussi who left in the middle of the first meeting...
dArK sTuFfEr: And then with Kassu who's not really on the sufficient level for the task.
TAISTO: Is this training related to some bigger pattern?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, err, where should I begin.
dArK sTuFfEr: C.O.P. members are really pushing us to continue their mission.
dArK sTuFfEr: And C.O.P. got this mandate from an earlier crew, and the whole chain was started by Osmo Kärkkäinen sometime in the seventies...
TAISTO: We didn't live here back then, but I've heard some stories 'bout how Osmo had some political activity at that time.
TAISTO: Is this somehow related to that?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, at least a little, I reckon...
TAISTO: I haven't really got it clear to me what Osmo's political stance is.
TAISTO: On the one hand he seems to be siding with the small man and the worker...
TAISTO: ... but on the other hand he's very much against the equal and democratic system created by the proletariat itself...
TAISTO: ... the kind that existed for instance in the Soviet Union before the Western bourgeoisie went to scrap it, as you probably know.
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, ye've told me aboot it many times...
dArK sTuFfEr: But yeah, as far as I know Osmo did speak a lot aboot revolution back then in the seventies.
TAISTO: Well, then he probably was siding with the working class, but it's hard to tell if he's anymore.
TAISTO: But anyway, it is more important for your crew to continue the original ideology and not what Osmo is nowadays...
TAISTO: What's Mega's stance with this?
dArK sTuFfEr: Hard to tell, 'cause we ain't been tawkin' aboot it very much...
TAISTO: In that case, you'll need to start a serious political discussion in our crew.
TAISTO: Like, what was Osmo's original ideology back in the seventies, and what is your place in that continuum.
TAISTO: And you'll need to use political debate to find out if Reijo's somehow agitated Mega to rot away your revolutionary spirit.
dArK sTuFfEr: I see.
dArK sTuFfEr: So, what could we do to Mega then?
TAISTO: I recommend that you'll start arranging a power shift within the crew.
TAISTO: You see, if rational talk won't help to the rot coming from Mega's side, then I think he should be liquidated away.
dArK sTuFfEr: Allright, I'll be reckonin' aboot that with Sam, who seems to be comin' in just now...
WoRLD HeR0: Hello...
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, hi there...
dArK sTuFfEr: Just go straight to my room, I'll follow soon!
WoRLD HeR0: Allright...
TARJA: Come to tell us then what you've decided!
TARJA: And good luck with you nevertheless on the path of revolution.
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, thanks for that...
...
WoRLD HeR0: So, you dared to be in contact with me even though Mega told you not to?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, it's a good slot now that he went to Tahko for a week...
dArK sTuFfEr: I hope Warie dinna see ye?
WoRLD HeR0: I don't believe he saw, I tried to consider this when choosing the route...
dArK sTuFfEr: Good then.
dArK sTuFfEr: We talked with C.O.P. members on the day that ye can very well take part in the trainings.
dArK sTuFfEr: They also thought that expelling you from CWU was quite an unfair and sad thang, and it'd be important for ye to take part in them.
dArK sTuFfEr: Ye've just gotta hide yerself somewhere in there until Warie leaves, so he won't get to tell aboot it to Mega.
WoRLD HeR0: Well, I think it'd be really nicey to get to them once again. I can maybe even just listen there...
dArK sTuFfEr: As ye can see I don't really trust anybody in our crew, especially after yer expulsion.
dArK sTuFfEr: Mega's stuff has gotten really curious, I guess Reijo's gotten to sabotage his mind somehow...
dArK sTuFfEr: We should either get to restore it to what it was, or then push him outta power to prevet CWU's future from gettin' jeopardized.
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah...
WoRLD HeR0: Could I get back to the crew then?
dArK sTuFfEr: At least if I get to the power, then I'm sure to join ye back right away.
WoRLD HeR0: Great...
dArK sTuFfEr: But there are others in CWU who jeopardize its mission and who should be changed...
dArK sTuFfEr: Darkie for example is a helluva customary Christian who ye can't even tawk with aboot any real occult stuff.
dArK sTuFfEr: We should get him to abandon Christianity so that he won't jeopardize CWU's occult mission.
WoRLD HeR0: That might be a little bit difficult...
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, we could maybe make a voodoo doll of him if we don't succeed otherwise, heheh.
dArK sTuFfEr: Warie would be a great dude for his big interest in the occult, but he's so weak.
dArK sTuFfEr: We're keeping him in the C.O.P. trainings during the meditation excercises, so that his mind got stronger and he learned to keep the secrets.
dArK sTuFfEr: But I've started to wonder a bit if it's gonna succeed at all...
dArK sTuFfEr: I mean, he may have got worse genes that the rest of us, as he's a Karelian and not a Finn, after all...
WoRLD HeR0: Well, I dunno really if that's very credible theory... but that MoTHeR WaNKeR isn't that bright either.
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, he's very skilled in all kinds of practical thangs even though he can't grasp any board stuff or magickal thinkig.
dArK sTuFfEr: I mean, like repairing gadgets, and lock-picking, and such...
dArK sTuFfEr: There's just the problem with him that he's started to get tired with what our crew's doing and I guess he's gonna resign at some point.
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah.
WoRLD HeR0: Speaking of that voodoo doll, by the way. My mother knows that there Kerttu...
WoRLD HeR0: I heard that Kerttu had been sick quite a lot in the early summer just after we'd done with that ritual.
dArK sTuFfEr: So, might it have had some effect for real? It'd be totally great if it had!
WoRLD HeR0: I heard she then healed up kinda exceptionally fast after it.
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, it's a bit difficult to say anythang aboot, 'cause we still dunno where the doll is and what's been done to it.
WoRLD HeR0: Maybe if some kid's taken it as a playtoy and then nursed it...
dArK sTuFfEr: That might be quite a sound theory.
WoRLD HeR0: But yeah, now that you talked about your worries, I've gotta say that I've been quite worried about how you've changed...
WoRLD HeR0: 'Cause you seem to have so strict plans about how other people should be changed in order for them to suit the crew.
dArK sTuFfEr: Is that somethang bad then?
WoRLD HeR0: Well, it's just the same kinda urge to control as you're worried about in Mega...
dArK sTuFfEr: This is sump'n totally different now!
dArK sTuFfEr: Mega's control is a kinda Reijo-like threatening and pushing, but I follow the principles of the real occultist...
dArK sTuFfEr: That is, I'm kinda affecting people secretly and indirectly, without them noticin'...
WoRLD HeR0: I've been thinking about if them there bots have been given us power or at least feeling of power that we don't control yet very well.
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, we've gotta be more attentive with that.
dArK sTuFfEr: I've got ever more incredible ideas aboot how to use them there bots and what kinda power they could give to me.
WoRLD HeR0: What kinda ideas?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, at least one night I was reckonin' aboot that there's a lot more guys than girls in the flirt channels of IRC...
dArK sTuFfEr: That we could get the extra guys away by lettin' them flirt at each other.
dArK sTuFfEr: That resulted in something called a gender switcher.
dArK sTuFfEr: Which filters the people's messages by changing all the gender-related words to their opposites.
dArK sTuFfEr: Like, all the forms of the word "boy" to the corresponding forms of "girl" and vice versa.
WoRLD HeR0: Did you get it to work well then?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, it's not even near to perfection yet, 'cause there's so many things to take to account in the conjugations and stuff...
dArK sTuFfEr: But it's been really exciting to follow them there flirts.
dArK sTuFfEr: 'Cause somehow just the plain filtering modifies the people's view of the world to somethang else...
dArK sTuFfEr: Like, how far could we take it before the conncted people notice anythang?
WoRLD HeR0: So, they haven't noticed that filter at all?
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, some of them have noticed the switcher already, but usually when the script ain't clever enough to modify a certain word.
dArK sTuFfEr: Once there were some boys who started to netsex with each other, and the script dinna convert pussies and dicks to each other yet...
dArK sTuFfEr: The business went totally unbelievable then.
dArK sTuFfEr: And even after that they dinna get that their messages were goin' thru filters, they just started to rage to each other like monkies...
dArK sTuFfEr: And even started a public flood, like "ban that fuckin' tranny fag"!
WoRLD HeR0: Heheheh, this is so crooked stuff!
dArK sTuFfEr: But yeah, this made me reckon aboot all the other possible modifications.
dArK sTuFfEr: We could maybe do that for city names too, like changing Tampere to Turku...
dArK sTuFfEr: So, when somebody tells sump'n aboot Tampere, the other would get the same ideas aboot Turku.
dArK sTuFfEr: So, if we planned that really carefully, we could maybe infect people's world views with some really curious ideas!
dArK sTuFfEr: We may not even realize yet what kinda power we could get with all that!
WoRLD HeR0: I've really got to think about this! Send me some logs via DCC on IRC the next time we happen to be on the net at the same time -
dArK sTuFfEr: Can't I just throw them to that there /home/myxter/wrk directory? Or via email?
WoRLD HeR0: Well, all users have got read access there and not just write.
dArK sTuFfEr: Allright, I'll send it via email then.
dArK sTuFfEr: But, I mean, that's sump'n really unbelievable and I believe it's just beginning...
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah.
WoRLD HeR0: But have you still been using that bot normally as well?
WoRLD HeR0: I haven't really had the energy to use it to girl-collecting anymore, 'cause I've concentrated on schistic so much.
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, I've also got a couple of regular girls I've been havin' more tawks with...
dArK sTuFfEr: And I actually made that filter just to stop other guys from flirting to them.
WoRLD HeR0: Don't you care about Mega's instructions anymore?
dArK sTuFfEr: I haven't really been much into following them for a long time.
dArK sTuFfEr: For instance I don't reckon it's very vital to get laid by every possible blonde idiot...
dArK sTuFfEr: 'Cause instead we could concentrate on them who we can talk aboot sump'n for real!
WoRLD HeR0: Have you already gotten laid then?
dArK sTuFfEr: Nope, and I dunno if they'd even accept me, although it'd be quite nicey of course...
WoRLD HeR0: Well, I don't really believe either that SCISTIC would let me...
dArK sTuFfEr: But hey, that'd be a really good weapon against Mega if ye got laid by schistic!
dArK sTuFfEr: Then he should cancel everthang he'd said aboot ye, and the others wouldna trust him so much anymaw.
WoRLD HeR0: Well, yeah, let's see...
dArK sTuFfEr: I could use that to gain the power in CWU and then get you back in the crew to.
dArK sTuFfEr: So, if yer interested in comin' back, then ye should set the goal of getting laid by her.
dArK sTuFfEr: When's ye gonna meet her?
WoRLD HeR0: I'm gonna see her in Vantaa on the Assembly weekend. And she was also thinking about coming there.
dArK sTuFfEr: Allright, well, maybe it's easier to tolerate the lamers in the lamer festival if ye've got a chick with ye.
dArK sTuFfEr: Using her to point out that yer on a bit higher level than them there eternal virgins...
dArK sTuFfEr: But hey, as yer plannin' to go there, could ye enter our Firemania demo to the compo?
dArK sTuFfEr: Ye could just replace CWU with some fake name, and also replace the handles of course.
WoRLD HeR0: I dunno if we could even get to the screen...
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, at least we wouldna have worked in vain then.
dArK sTuFfEr: And that'd also be a good weapon against Mega, when the others would notice that our fames spill away thru ye when yer not in the crew...
WoRLD HeR0: Well, I've gotta think about it.
dArK sTuFfEr: He was all like "who cares" when "Miss Samantha Alarastas"'s board had to leave CWUnet and the messaging rates dropped to half right away.
dArK sTuFfEr: Even though we got some messagers back once they started to use Frontline...
dArK sTuFfEr: But its node is already busy so often that Darkie's gotten to lower the time limits.
dArK sTuFfEr: And the users are also complaining aboot that the board machine's a 286 and it takes so long to pack the QWK...
WoRLD HeR0: I've started to like that Samantha somehow. Should I start using it for real?
dArK sTuFfEr: Don't do it for real...
WoRLD HeR0: Well, at least I'd get more users to my board if the sysop's name was something like Samantha, everyone would be thinking there's a girl as a sysop...
dArK sTuFfEr: Ye might even scan the photo of some girl from our school, and start uploadin' it to all the boards of the 97X area.
dArK sTuFfEr: And there could be even an advert text in the pic, sump'n like Samantha Alarastas, SysOp of Dark Man BBS, and the nodes would be all busy then!
WoRLD HeR0: I could maybe wanna change the board's name at the same. I've been thinking about changing it anyway.
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, the folks could still just look at the number and connect it to you, and even if the number changed.
WoRLD HeR0: That's exactly why I ain't been thinking that too seriously.
WoRLD HeR0: But it could be fun to, like move to some other local call zone and then found a board there with some fake girl name...
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah.
WoRLD HeR0: But I actually also thought about changing the software as well when I change the board's name.
WoRLD HeR0: It's a good moment to do it now that Mega ain't pushing around that I've gotta use either PCBoard or AmiExpress and they're the only true ones...
dArK sTuFfEr: Where were ye reckonin' aboot to switch?
WoRLD HeR0: BBBS could be good, 'cause there's a Linux version comin' in addition to the Dos and OS/2 versions.
WoRLD HeR0: I got PCBoard to run somehow under Dosemu, yeah, but it's stil better to have native software to save memory and CPU...
WoRLD HeR0: I guess it might be easier to run PCBoard under OS/2, but I think it's the same shit as Windoze in the end.
dArK sTuFfEr: Yeah, there's gotta be true shells and others.
dArK sTuFfEr: Linux could be enough on its own as a board soft, just make accounts for everbody...
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah, but there are so many unix-handicapped users who need to have menus or otherwise they can't use it at all.
dArK sTuFfEr: Well, ye could make some lamer menus to the shell as well, with some scripts...
WoRLD HeR0: At least for now I'd still prefer BBBS even though there's a small registration cost there.
WoRLD HeR0: After all it's even generally better than PCBoard in my opinion...
WoRLD HeR0: You can get real directory hierarchies to the file areas, and it's also more compatible with the Unix world.
WoRLD HeR0: You can easily keep the board up via telnet and slirp even while you're calling the Internet.
WoRLD HeR0: You've just gotta keep the time limits low enough to not have to keep the outside call on for too long because of the user.
dArK sTuFfEr: Hey, ye could also use that to easily get callers from outside the local rate zone, or, for the fuck's sake, even from abroad!!
dArK sTuFfEr: I wonder what MIKA "mR.mEgAwAnKeR" PIRINEN, SYSOP OF PILLU PAIKKA SBBS would reckon aboot this?
dArK sTuFfEr: He reckons that BBBS is one of them there "PD-lamer" softs and almost as bad as SBBS...
WoRLD HeR0: Heheh, that'd be fun to see.
WoRLD HeR0: Did his official name already change into Pirinen?
dArK sTuFfEr: Guess not, 'cause they ain't done with them there Jesus blood rituals that officially change it...
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah, right.
WoRLD HeR0: But hey, I guess I should be leaving now, 'cause it starting to get quite late already.
WoRLD HeR0: At which time was the training tomorrow, and when will I be there?
dArK sTuFfEr: It's gonna officially start at four o'clock, and Warie's gonna come there as punctually as possible.
dArK sTuFfEr: But I reckoned aboot going there at two o'clock alraedy, and if ye can also come there then if ye manage...
WoRLD HeR0: Yeah, I guess we're havin' lunch there at noon, so after that I could start riding towards Vääräpää...
dArK sTuFfEr: Allrighty, so see ye there tomorrow!
dArK sTuFfEr: Bye bye.
WoRLD HeR0: Bye then.
