mR.mEgAsTuFf: There were fuckin' cops visiting our classes for da whole week givin' us some threats!

mR.mEgAsTuFf: And all kindsa young people's psychiatrist and some fuckin' helper groups givin' even more threats!

OH7MO: Well, that's the way how the system works, ye'll get forced into the pattern if ye don't go otherwise.

OH7MO: And y'all should be really wary of that there Reijo. He may seem a bit simple but he's actually one damn kiero** and ovela** fella.

OH7MO: Reijo is also one of us radio folks, so he knows aboot some technics as well, even if it seems like he's a full hillbilly like the other heads-of-household.

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Whatta fuck, he's never mentioned a word 'bout that!! Was he also in that radio club in the town school?

OH7MO: Naw, he's from Juankoski, y'know, and only moved to Lietevesi as an adult with his family...

OH7MO: And he's besides them ten years older than me, so we wouldna have been in that school club at the same time anyway.

OH7MO: Y'know, Q-S-O, a connection... a ham term... I've been on the radio frequencies at the same time and communicated to him...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: We're actually now interested in one specific thing 'bout that pre-history of yars.

mR.mEgAsTuFf: There's an Amiga crew called cULT oF pOWER that gave us kinda trainin' sessions during the skiing holiday, and they mentioned yar handle...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: They said ya had a kinda profound effect to all the later crews in that school, and that ya might know 'bout something important.

OH7MO: Well, I got to be the leader of the school's radio club during my middle-school times.

OH7MO: It was the time when microprocessors were a new thang, and all the radio and electronics folks were all zealed up 'bout how they're gonna turn the world around.

OH7MO: Not yet in my middle-school times, but when I was goin' to high school in Pielavesi, there was a computer DIY kit called Telmac that came to the market...

OH7MO: But nevertheless I sometimes also visited the Lietevesi school's weekend meetings with my Telmac.

mR.mEgAsTuFf: But ya started something important back in yar middle-school times?

OH7MO: 'Cause I preached to them chaps quite a lot how a new revolution's gonna come, and how we're gonna get out of the system's slavery with microcomputers, get the power back to ourselves and the people, and we'd also be gettin' to expand our consciousness with computers -

OH7MO: Yeah, afore that right the way. They were them middle-schoolers who came after me, who started to build computers.

OH7MO: Telmac was the first one, and then there was also Oscom Nano, and some folks even tried sump'n with some Texas Instrument programmable calculators...

OH7MO: It wasna until the eighties when came them there Sinclair and Commodore toys with everthang ready-mand, and ye dinna need to know nuffin' anymaw.

dArK sTuFfEr: Did they regard ye as some kinda communist 'cause of them there revolution talks?

OH7MO: Well, it was everbody tryin' to make the older generation mad, so I wasna that different in that part.

OH7MO: It was more like that hippie age when ye easily got attention with talks like that... and even girls got interested easily...

dArK sTuFfEr: I also noticed that girls talked to be more than usually once we'd run away the cops...

dArK sTuFfEr: Even them B-group Oona and Milla who're usually really quiet came to chat with me and ask 'bout it and sump'n else too.

OH7MO: By the way, I don't think I've ever asked ya, Jyri, have ye ever seen UFOs?

OH7MO: Yeah, I guess the whole village was laughing at it at some point, 'cause it's so difficult for normal folks to believe in them...

OH7MO: But I've got some UFO experience from my youth. In my middle-school times, there was a ship that landed to our yard at night.

OH7MO: And then there were some bug-eyed littlet men who contacted me during an LSD trip. And on the summer of one high school year then -

mR.mEgAsTuFf: But I still agree with Ritu in that ya've just hallucinated yar whole UFO history, unless ya've just made it up for gettin' laid!

OH7MO: That won't yet prove my experiences wrong! I was also drawin' moon rockets because the space age had just come...

OH7MO: Y'know, we've got some real scientific criteria here how to deal with these havainto** and encounters.

OH7MO: I've even been into Finnish UFO Researchers' activity since them there seventies!

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Ya even tried to get us into yar UFO cult when we were on like da first grade!

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Ya put them there lights in yar Volkswagen beetle, and all kindsa flashy devices and wooping sound effects inside it as well, and we were all like WOW, OSMO'S GOT A KNIGHT RIDER CAR, but it was a space car...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: And we dinna realize yet then that ya were tryin' get us infected with yar UFO religion -

OH7MO: But for real, Ritu and Arja also believed in UFOs and humanoids, like quite many others in the sixties and seventies...

WoRLD HeR0: Arja still believes in them... and I don't think you're lying to us, at least deliberately!

dArK sTuFfEr: Didye get any message from them there bug-eyes? Or powers? I mean, why did they come to ye?

OH7MO: I believed then, and a bit nowadays as well, that it was aboot this new technology we'd been gettin' then and today as well.

OH7MO: Like, they're wantin' us to use it for the benefits of this planet and not give the power to the old establishment.

OH7MO: They were carryin' a kind of device with a flat screen and they showed me some movies, or video clips as y'all would maybe say, showin' parts of my life and future...

OH7MO: I believe that it was for all the world, but on a part dependin' on how I'll get enlightened, interested in the right things and ascend spiritually -

dArK sTuFfEr: But ye dinna get no powers or informations from them when ascendin'?

dArK sTuFfEr: I've been reckonin' aboot that there Heikki Vornanen, who found us from the Pennanens with his witching rod...

dArK sTuFfEr: I've heard he's of some ancient sage family, and he's got such skills or powers from there.

OH7MO: I guess the humanoids only got interested in us once we started to explode atomic bombs.

OH7MO: Like, afore that we were just a backwards bunch of apes, but since them we've become a kind threat at least to our own planet if not others...

OH7MO: I've heard he's like a hundred years old or even more, so he's from a too early generation.

OH7MO: But we did trust in the sixties and seventies that ancient people would've had some secret knowledge we don't have anymaw, and that the Sumers or Atlanteans or Egypteans had maybe got these infos from the humanoids... but I'm still a bit skeptic...

OH7MO: After all, it's aboot thousands of years here! Ye couldna keep such knowledege as a secret for so long!

OH7MO: If there were some of that for real, say, a kinda meditation technique that gives ye telepathic or telekinetic powers, then it wouldna have taken long afore it got revelaed!

OH7MO: Some folks would've been takin' benefits from it, and the others would've been demanidn' to know aboot it...

dArK sTuFfEr: They could train the cops to use the rod on their own, so they wouldna need to wake up the old codger to catch every criminal?

OH7MO: That officially only such things and phenomena exist where ye've got enough evidence, and a sound theory, and the consensus of the scientific community.

OH7MO: Although the lack of evidence doesna mean that sump'n doesna exist, even the rules of logic say it after all.

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Y'know, I don't have a computer at all right now, 'cause it was given to Tim...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: That'd be cool, so I wouldn't need to use other people's computer every evening!

OH7MO: Yeah, a boy's gotta have a computer of his own, right. I reckon ye don't have a lot of money?

OH7MO: Oh, then we've gotta be careful... what would be the most important thing ye hafta get to do with a computer?

OH7MO: There's at least one surplus CP/M machine in my warehouse. It's one of them Teleste gear that Auditek was sellin' to schools in the eighties.

OH7MO: I was there choosin' them for the Lietevesi school, and I got one of them as a reward for my efforts later on -

OH7MO: It's got a Z80 processor, a 5.25" floppy drive, a green-and-black text-only screen, an RS232 ye can hook up with a modem, and it's runnin' CP/M 2.2 as the software, so ye get some quite fine terminal programs like Kermit...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: I would've liked something more modern but maybe that's better than nuffin'... I guess that's enuff for some IRC?

dArK sTuFfEr: But where did ye reckon aboot using it? If ye took it to the Pirinens, then Reijo would take it away as well...

OH7MO: Well, at least it hain't got any resell value, maybe just material value, even though it's a fine machine -

mR.mEgAsTuFf: I fink he'd get it away from me anyway and prohibit me from using it, 'cause he's such a nazi... right, that's not a good idea...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: And it may be not worth to put it in our old house either, 'cause Reijo's told me not visit there either, and he may fuckin' put the house full of traps if he even suspects -

OH7MO: Well, we could actually call some men there to check if the lines are still intact, and if it wouldna take a lot of work to reconnect the lines, then just sign the new contracts...

OH7MO: I can call the electric and phone companies and pay for the connection costs, but the other costs will then get divided among y'all!

mR.mEgAsTuFf: I guess there should be some locked room so that lamers won't get to call anywhere with our money!

OH7MO: Y'all hafta figure that out yerself... but after that just tell where ye want that phone plug, 'cause they may need to install a new one.

dArK sTuFfEr: It may not be worth moving Kassu's computer, 'cause his board makes him limit his outward calls.

dArK sTuFfEr: But what aboot Frontline? Would Darkie agree with that kinda change? At least he ain't got no music projects...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: I guess he'll gonna protest 'cause he's gotta get to play Civilization...

OH7MO: Maybe y'all could put the board up with that there Auditek as well? It wouldna need so much power, I reckon...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Fuck then, if ya've got a 24H board,l then ya've gotta have a machine that runs PCBoard and has even some power and disk space!

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Nope, it won't show to our users if there's a monochrome display in our board.

OH7MO: Well, maybe I'll look some XT or 286 for them for "long-term loan" as a BBS machine, if that's enough for runnin' yer stock program.

OH7MO: In old times, y'know, BBS operators programmed their own software, there were no stock ones...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Oh, right... someone's gotta now give their Terbo away, 'cause everyone who's got a Terbo has it already in their board -

mR.mEgAsTuFf: Well, 2400 at least is totally too slow, and I guess 9600 would also be...

OH7MO: It might be a bit hard to find a surplus one anywhere unless y'all collect some money to pay it...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: But we'll be finkin' 'bout this still, and we've gotta talk 'bout to the other members as well.

OH7MO: Well, so let's get to this BBS business later once y'all have gotten it decided.
