OSMO: Looks like a workin' gear, at least from a quick look. We called 'em "darkness boxes" back in the seventies and eighties.

OSMO: If them there pulse counters hain't changed in the centre, then I believe it works.

OSMO: And I dinna ever here from the Tele people that they had upgraded sump'n there. The same gear they've been havin' for the last thirty years at least.

OSMO: I hain't even hassled with it at all! I just opened the box and looked what kinda couplings are there. So ye really don't need to worry...

mR.mEgAsTuFf: But those guys who gave it to me said that there'd be some enchantment that fades out if ya open da box!

OSMO: Heheh, so that there enchantment thang's still in use!

OSMO: Ye canna replace any resistor even if when calculations say that they don't serve any electrical purpose there.

OSMO: And it's not even sure if them there screws should be screwed to the just right momentum. At least I wrote down the potentiometer positions...

OSMO: Even I was tryin' to make sense how darkness box works, as a high school boy, and dinna get it at all.

OSMO: And when I was studying electrical engineerin' in Kuopio, even there I once took the schematics and calculated and calculated and dinna figure out!

OSMO: Guess it might be some quantum physics what it utilizes, so ye can really could call it magic as well...
